We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant to join our team. In this role you will be responsibility for maintaining accurate financial / bookkeeping records and performing various accounting tasks. Your role will also include general admin duties where presice admin skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience with well-known accounting software such as Xero, Sage and kowledge of Exel is essential.
Responsibilities:
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
* Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
* Prepare and process payroll
* Maintain general ledger and perform month-end close activities
* Assist with tax preparation and filing
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
* Ad hoc projects and tasks as required to meet business needs
Experience:
Essential
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role for a minimum of two years
* Proficiency in Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or other accounting software
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
* Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Desirable
* Any AAT or accountancy qualification
* Experience working in practice supporting multiple clients
