THE BUSINESS
Our client is a component supplier to the energy transition market and is aiding the evolution of key clients into the renewables space. The organisation has a long-standing history in the region with low attrition rates and a majority of employees receiving long service awards. This is a high-tech facility employing around 200 staff.
The organisation is on an upslope supporting energy transition with strong demand for their products within emerging markets. The business operates on principles of fairness, a robust support network, trust, and mutual respect. The company’s products are sold globally, and within this organisation, you will be treated as an individual, holding autonomy in decision-making and forming part of a close-knit team driving the business forward.
Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit an Electrical Engineer to work a day shift pattern (8am-4pm) on a permanent contract based in the Teesside area.
The successful applicant will join a company with world-class manufacturing capability and a skilled workforce with a long history and global recognition.
THE ROLE
* As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be part of the team that turns ideas into products. You'll be involved in the development, testing, improvement, and maintenance of complex manufacturing processes and infrastructure.
* You’ll be expected to generate conceptual proposals, turning them into viable solutions considering factors such as safety, manufacture, cost, and quality. Your challenge is to meet stringent safety and production requirements while providing leading-edge performance.
* This is a hands-on role, responsible for electrical maintenance activities across the facility. You will utilise modern diagnostic technology to ensure the productive capability of the plant is optimised and improved for the ever-changing needs of the business.
* Utilising PLCs for fault finding and diagnostics (Siemens & Allen Bradley).
* Maintaining plant-based equipment such as automated systems, burning machines, roller tables, conveyors, presses, and welding machinery.
THE PERSON
You should be qualified to degree level or equivalent in an electrical discipline, or a time-served craftsperson holding qualifications to HND/HNC level with appropriate technical and leadership experience. You will have significant, demonstrable experience in a similar electrical role.
You will work well in a fast, high-paced, customer-focused environment.
Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills are essential. Combining your technical and engineering knowledge, you'll know how to collaborate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in maintaining plant-based equipment such as automated systems, burning machines, roller tables, conveyors, presses, and welding machinery is required.
