My client is a commercial law firm based in Leeds, UK. They provide a wide range of legal services to multinational companies, banks, insurance companies, retailers, and both public and privately listed companies. The team currently holds the title of leading corporate banking team within the north are ranked Tier 1 by both Chambers and Legal 500.
The role will consist of:
Actively working on a wide range of local, national and international debt transactions including property finance (development and investment), project finance, ABL, acquisition finance, wholesale lending and general corporate finance. They work nationally and internationally with some of the industry’s biggest names, from the main clearing banks, through to leading alternative lenders, innovative start-ups and fintech.
They work collaboratively with all parties to complete transactions successfully and efficiently, at the same time making sure the lender’s position is properly protected.
• Provide legal advice on general banking and finance matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of banking documents, including loan agreements, security agreements, and facility agreements.
• Advise clients on regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Handle day-to-day legal issues related to banking operations.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Conduct due diligence for banking transactions.
• Assist with restructurings, insolvencies, and recovery procedures.
• Keep up to date with changes in banking laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide holistic legal advice.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
