HR Business Partner
Up to £40,590 per annum
We are seeking an experienced HR Professional to join the Human Resources team at Suffolk New College. Working as a senior member of the HR team you will be responsible for delivering a pro-active, professional, customer-focused, effective and efficient service, which drives business performance and contributes to achievement of strategic and operational objectives.
You will be the HR lead for a portfolio of Directorates and Departments providing advice, guidance and support on all aspects of HR activity in accordance with the policy and procedure and employment law. Working in partnership with senior management of each area, you will drive organisational culture and improve performance through solution-focused decision-making, creative thinking and pragmatic implementation and delivery of policy and process.
As an experienced HR professional with experience of managing a broad range of complex casework within a unionised environment, you will have excellent employment law knowledge and be committed to delivering best practice and driving cultural change.
You will therefore need to be able to demonstrate the ability to:
• build and sustain effective and credible working relationships at all levels;
• take a solution-focused approach to problem-solving;
• offer advice which aligns to business objectives and strategy;
• lead and manage employee relations casework with minimal supervision;
• interpret employment legislation and advise line managers of its implications effectively;
• use coaching skills to promote ownership and accountability;
• communicate clearly, effectively and with confidence at all levels.
You will have line management responsibility.
This main base for this post is the Ipswich Campus, however Suffolk New College is a multi-campus, therefore you will be required to work at and travel between campuses.
