Our client, a leading Developer & GC in the UK, is looking to add a Senior Project Manager to their strategic management team. The role involves overseeing Student Accommodation & Residential projects throughout London & South East.
Due to recent project wins, a large recruitment drive is underway. The right candidate will have the opportunity to work for a company offering excellent career progression, with fast-track promotions for suitable individuals. Candidates should have experience as a PM or Development Manager in Student Accommodation & Residential projects, and be skilled in liaising with Contractors (in-house experience is beneficial), Subs, Clients, Consultants, and Architects.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting and directing staff to resolve complex/high-risk issues.
* Representing the client in meetings.
* Validating reports prepared by staff.
* Providing strategic oversight of project performance.
Additional project management duties:
* Ensuring compliance with internal processes, risk management, and contractual aspects.
* Leading colleagues and validating their work, including reporting accuracy and contract management.
* Managing variations and adhering to company policies.
* Performing other duties as required within the department.
Qualifications and experience:
* A civil engineering, project management, QS degree, or equivalent, or relevant professional experience.
* Familiarity with design and construction processes, project programming, and commercial reporting.
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Experience on various schemes with team management responsibilities.
