Office Admin Apprentice-Dorchester -18 month fixed term contract
We have a fantastic, career enhancing opportunity for someone to join the Dorchester team as their Office Admin Apprentice.
This is a full time, entry level role on an 18-month fixed term Business Apprenticeship contract, appealing to individuals seeking to develop their admin skills within a business/legal environment.
The role will involve working closely with our Office Supervisor on the front desk, whilst undertaking a recognised qualification. You will support the legal teams with general administration such as file and document management, taking phone calls, and providing a warm welcome to our visiting clients.
The position will suit candidates who are immaculately presented and possess the relevant transferable skills needed for working in a professional office environment. Some previous experience within a customer facing role would be useful although not essential as training can be provided. Candidates must be conscientious and reliable with a professional demeanour and possess excellent communication skills including a good telephone manner. An eye for detail and the ability to follow instructions, process and procedure is essential, as is a keen interest in helping colleagues achieve common goals.
The role will involve a degree of light lifting and carrying (i.e. files) and regular use of stairs. There may also be daily shopping and postal duties required.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Business Administration Level 3 qualification that will include Business and Law related modules, via an appropriate training provider.
Depending upon the wishes of the Apprentice and their abilities, and subject to a suitable post being available, the intention is that the Apprentice will be retained upon successful completion of their apprenticeship. We will mentor, coach, and train to a high standard to equip the individual with practical administration skills that will be useful for future employment, whether that is ultimately within the firm or elsewhere.
Please review the job specification and relevant job description, and if you meet the criteria for the role, upload your CV and a brief covering letter via the ‘Apply here’ section, or alternatively send an email to recruitment@hklaw.uk.
NB: This vacancy is being managed by our apprenticeship provider, Damar Training, therefore your application will be sent directly to them for consideration, and you will be contacted only if you are selected for interview. This advert will be closed as soon as sufficient suitable applications have been received, therefore, if the role is of interest, we recommend applying as soon as possible.
