Forge House Care are currently looking for Live-In Support Worker's to join our friendly team. We provide accommodation and support services to people living with a disability. We specialise in learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge. We are offering permanent contracts of 2-3 weeks per month. You will need to provide support and encouragement that empowers our service users to lead an independent lifestyle in a safe and secure manner. You will live in a service user’s home, providing companionship and support with every aspect of their personal care needs, including washing and bathing etc. along with shopping, household duties and general support in their daily routine. This will include accessing the community. As a supported living provider, our goal is to encourage our service users to be independent, pursue hobbies and fulfil their potential. Our support staff engage in a variety of activities with the service user, including swimming, sailing, long walks, day trips, shopping, clubs and any other personal interests the service user may have. The successful applicant must be willing to engage in these activities. (essential) · NVQ 2/Diploma in Health & Social Care (desired, however, not essential as further training will be provided) Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS (police check), if not already held.
