We are seeking an experienced Digital Merchandiser to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will develop and optimise the user journey for customers shopping online. You will take clear ownership of assigned categories, enhancing both search and navigation journeys. Collaborating closely with the commercial team, content writer, media production, and SEO, to ensure aligned optimisation. Using insights and analytics, you will understand customer needs and pain points, taking action to simplify navigation and drive better add-to-cart rates and conversion.
The role will have Hybrid working (after a period of training), consisting of 3 days in the Avonmouth office and 2 days working from home.
Key Accountabilities
* Category Optimisation: Take ownership of assigned categories, ensuring they meet customer and business requirements.
* Analytics: Utilise digital tools like Adobe Analytics and GA4 to analyse and optimise the user journey and core products.
* SEO and Collaboration: Work with SEO, paid acquisition, and category copywriter to improve the user journey and organic ranking.
* Website Management: Manage ad-hoc changes to the website, such as delivery info, discontinued products, and asset management.
* Performance Reporting: Drive targeted results across categories; run and maintain regular reports to assess and improve category performance.
Capabilities, Skills, and Experience Required
Key Requirements
* Strong understanding of the online customer journey.
* Demonstrable ability to interrogate data and make data-led decisions.
* Working knowledge of SEO.
* Experienced Microsoft Office user, especially advanced Excel.
* Keenness to learn and stay informed of product innovations and range development opportunities.
* Ability to work independently, manage own workload, and contribute to the broader team.
* Strong communication skills and relationship-building across various teams and stakeholders.
* Experience with analytic tools like Adobe, GA4, and Glassbox.
