HOURS: Based on 3.5 days out of 7, including weekend work, 3 X 12hr shift and 1 X 6hour shift
LOCATION: Galgorm (Ballymena)

About the role:
We are currently recruiting for a Laundry Shift Manager to join our Laundry team. Your main responsibility will be to run the laundry shifts and manage the laundry team in the absence of the Laundry Manager. You will work alongside another shift manager to ensure the smooth running of this busy department.
Working in the Laundry at Galgorm you’ll be filling orders for Galgorm Collection. The Resort is home to 125 guestrooms, self-catering accommodation, several restaurants, and our Award Winning Thermal Village, as well as our other sites in the Collection; The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat, The Old Inn, Parisian & Fratelli Belfast.
The Laundry department can be very busy at times and this role is quite physically demanding but you will work alongside a supportive team keeping the laundry store organised, well-stocked & ensuring that all linen is cleaned and pressed to a high standard. The successful applicant will have the ability to work well under pressure and have a driven attitude to complete tasks in a timely manner.
The Position:
The main responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
* Oversee the team of laundry assistants in absence of the Laundry Manager to achieve operational standards.
* Oversee the daily operations within the laundry department.
* Comply with health, safety, hygiene, fire, and security regulations and procedures of the hotel and ensure others are aware of their responsibilities.
* Assist in training and development of laundry staff.
* Monitor and record all linen in + out of the laundry.
* Plan, schedule and be responsible for laundry stock counting.
* Maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
* Be familiar with all operational equipment and chemicals used in the laundry.
* Carry out any other duties as requested by Department heads or Management.
The Person:
Applicants must:
* Have previous experience working in a Laundry Department.
* Have previous experience supervising a team of people.
* Possess sound ICT skills.
* Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Have great attention to detail.
* Display a flexible work approach.
