The role:
We need attentive, organised, proactive individuals to go beyond guest expectations and ensure their experience, before, during and after their stay is the best it can be.
You’ll embody the spirit of Another Place Hotel with your friendly welcome, considerate manner and seamless efficiency. Overseeing the front desk and swim club host positions, guests will remember you and your team for underpinning the happiness that shaped their holiday experience, from the moment they called to book, to the moment they said goodbye. You’ll deal with challenges swiftly and find opportunities to bring a smile to guests’ faces day in day out. And you’ll make sure your hosts do the same.

What your days could look like:
1. Enhance the guest experience at every opportunity, from initial contact to farewell
2. Proactively identify and resolve problems, staying one step ahead
3. Handle guest-related issues promptly and smoothly
4. Address any complaints personally and in a timely manner
5. Possess in-depth knowledge of the hotel, policies, systems, and procedures to promptly address guest inquiries
6. Support and train host team members to ensure their understanding of the hotel and their responsibilities
7. Ensure the host team remains guest-focused, embodying the hotel's spirit and values
8. Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of guest-facing areas by coordinating with maintenance and housekeeping teams
9. Stay updated on allergy procedures and serve as the main contact for related enquiries
10. Familiarise yourself with the end-of-day (EOD) process and liaise with the Accounts team as needed
11. Handle bookings using the appropriate systems across the resort
12. Conduct thorough booking checks to ensure guests are well-informed and excited for their stay
13. Fulfill any additional duties assigned by senior management
14. Adhere to Health, Safety, and Licensing laws
15. Be the initial point of contact for First Aid
16. Assume the role of fire warden during alarm activations
Minimum Requirements:
1. Previous front of house experience in a similar business
2. Previous experience of using property management systems
3. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook
4. Exceptional level of customer service and focus
5. Previous management role
6. Previous F&B experience
7. Current Enhanced DBS
8. Personal Licence holder
9. Experience of hotel computer booking systems
10. Good at prioritising tasks and time management
11. Basic IT skills
