The department
The IT Team is responsible for all aspects of IT across the business, covering User Support, Infrastructure, Security, Data and Development Teams.
Purpose of job
The Endpoint Management Engineer is to support the Modern Workplace Manager by playing a pivotal role in providing a solution that delivers endpoints to our colleagues in a scalable, secure, reliable, robust and efficient way then continued into its lifecycle.
Accountabilities
1. Device Management:
* Deploy and manage endpoint devices using tools like Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and other endpoint management platforms.
1. Security:
* Implement and manage security measures to protect endpoint devices, including antivirus, firewalls, and encryption.
2. Troubleshooting:
* Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on endpoint devices.
3. Automation:
* Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline deployment and management processes.
4. Compliance:
* Ensure devices comply with organizational policies and industry standards.
5. Updates and Patching:
* Manage the deployment of operating system updates, patches, and software installations.
6. Documentation:
* Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
* Work closely with other IT teams to integrate endpoint solutions with broader IT infrastructure.
7. Performance Monitoring:
* Monitor the performance of endpoint devices and make necessary adjustments.
* Interact with vendors and third-party support providers.
8. User Training:
* Provide training and support to end-users on endpoint devices and software.
* Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in endpoint management and recommend improvements.
The candidate
* Proficiency in endpoint management tools (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Autopilot).
* Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 11).
* Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript).
* Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
