The person undertaking this role will be supported to develop and succeed in the role by theDeputyDirector ofimprovementand Transformation and colleagues in thesenior leadershipteam.
This is an exciting time to join the QI team in this leading position and your role will be vital into making us as successful as possible in the delivery of our programme.
This opportunity is for Head of Quality Improvement andthe main responsibilities includeleadingon the delivery and development of the key workstreams within the Quality Improvement Programme:
• Quality Improvement projects.
• Quality Management Improvement System (QMIS) for front line staff, seniorstaffand Divisions.
• Building capability across the organisation.
• Strategic deployment activities.
• The post holder will operationally line manage the Quality Improvement (QI) team
The post holder will also lead on the development and delivery of Breakthrough Objectives and organisational Strategic Initiatives.
The Head of Quality Improvementwillprovideimprovementexpertiseto the organisation, supporting the development and delivery of high quality, effective and efficient programmes to drive continuous improvements.
This post isalsoresponsible for a broad portfolio of improvement activities and improvement projects, including creating an organisation wide culture in which all staff view quality improvement as a core part of their role.
The postholder will have a passion and drive for building the culture, conditions, and capability for continuous improvement.

1. Extensive experience in Quality ImprovementandLean methodologies at a senior level(band 8b and above)
2. Extensive experience as aseniormanager within the NHS (band8band above)
3.Highly developed specialistexpertiseand knowledge underpinned by theoryacquiredthroughcontinuousprofessional and personal development
