We are currently looking for a passionate Scheduling Assistant to join our dynamic Aseptic Services team, the heart of our operations, manufacturing life-saving cancer chemotherapy drugs. As a Scheduling Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting the Aseptic Production teams, focusing on administrative tasks. Your duties will include, although will not be limited to: Perform general administrative duties, including document management, filing, and preparing reports to support the Aseptic Production Department. Assist in the preparation and distribution of production schedules, ensuring accurate and timely information is available. Be proactive in investigating any potential delivery issues for the following and liaise with the relevant departments for a resolution Investigate any customer queries which may arise after regular customer service hours Inputting scheduled batch work into internal systems ready to be manufactured Support the Scheduler in developing and maintaining the production schedule for batch products, optimising production efficiency and meeting deadlines. Help manage the scheduling system, ensuring it is up-to-date and accurately reflects production needs. Run daily KPI reports, analyse data, and provide insights to help improve production efficiency and effectiveness. Assist in tracking production metrics and report on deviations from the schedule, identifying areas for improvement. Support the update and maintenance of SKU information, ensuring all product data is accurate and current in the system. Coordinate with relevant departments to gather and verify product information for SKUs. Act as a liaison between the scheduling department and other departments, ensuring effective communication and coordination. Proactively assess current and future workload to highlight where such deadlines may not be met, liaising with relevant departments to ensure that customers are informed of any confirmed delays. Assisting with analysis of sales trends to provide insight into projections for daily and monthly meetings. Provide support in planning and implementing changes to production schedules as required. To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate: Experience of operating in a similar role is desirable. Demonstrable experience of working autonomously and making decisions. Confidence dealing with managers and employees at all levels. Experience working in pharmaceutical / healthcare / life sciences industry advantageous. English and Mathematics GCSE grades A-C (or equivalent). High computer literacy; experience operating with all Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel, and experience with scheduling or ERP systems is highly advantageous. Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team. Detail-oriented with a knack for problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure. Understanding of aseptic production processes and GMP guidelines also advantageous.
