The role of the HGV Technician:
You will be working on a variety of tractor and trailer units of differing makes and models, of differing ages and possibly the odd tanker. You will be carrying out inspections to a varied and diverse fleet and you can expect to be situated in a positive and vibrant working environment.
The type of work as a HGV Technician you can expect to be carrying out includes (but is not limited to)
* Routine (and preventative) maintenance
* MOT preparation
* Working on all manner of trailers, curtain sided, rigids, double deck
* Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
* 6 (or 8) weekly inspections
* Correction of running defects
* Chassis and fabrication work
* Hydraulics and pneumatics
* Improvement of vehicle standards
* Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections
Requirements for this HGV Technician position:
* Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent but we will consider Time Served HGV Mechanics
