The Estimator Contractor:\nReddbrick are recruiting for a Sub Contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects Nationally. Currently, they are seeking a Remote Passive Fire Specialist Estimator to join their team and manage projects throughout the region. .\n\nThe Estimator role\nThe Estimator will play a key role in the planning and financial management of Passive Fire schemes.
This position requires experience in cost planning including measurement from stage 2, 3 and 4 general arrangement drawings to produce builder’s quantities and compilation. You will collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to achieve optimal results.\n\nEstimator Responsibilities\n\n * Populating your cost plan to support development appraisals, design solutions, validation of designs and benchmarking will be second nature to you.\n\n * Prequalification of oppotunities.\n\n * Working on a variety of tendering forms, whilst identifying opportunities to add value throughout the project process..\n\n * Tendering and development of Stage 3 and Stage 4 design information into robust sub-contract enquires for quotation to preparing financial information for settlement meetings at each Gateway stage including Financial Close/Contract Sum.\n\n * Track and report on project costs and financial performance, identifying and addressing any deviations from budget.\n\n * Recommend cost-saving alternatives and value engineering options to optimise project efficiency and quality.\n\n * Maintain clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders, ensuring alignment on costs and timelines.\n\nEstimator requirements\n\n * Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.\n\n * 3 years of experience in estimating, with a focus of Passive Fire.\n\n * Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office Suite.\n\n * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.\n\n * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n\n * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.\n\n * Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.\n\n * Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple bids and proposals.\n\nEstimator Benefits\n\n * Remote working - with 1 day in the office.\n\n * Competitive salary commensurate with experience.\n\n * Opportunities for professional development and career advancement\n\n * Involvement in high-profile projects\n\n * Supportive and dynamic work environment fostering teamwork and innovation.\n\nIf you would like any further information or would be interested in applying for this vacancy please get in touch today
