Job summary We are currently seeking a motivated team player to take up the position of Service Delivery Manager within Specialist Medicine at Barts Health on a 1 years fixed term contract. The Service Delivery Manager is an important post within the department, and we are hoping to recruit an innovative and committed colleague who is keen to work with the wider team to develop the service at Bart's Health. The post will have a particular focus on improvement projects. The post-holder will support the Clinical Director, Divisional Manager, General Manager and Service Manager in all aspects of the operational delivery of the services, and service improvement projects. The successful candidate will provide all round support for the department and embed an improvement culture in the teams. Main duties of the job The Delivery Manager is responsible to the Service Manager / Assistant Service Manager for the overall performance of those services within the remit of the role. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of services to patients in accordance with agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, controls, and resource constraints. To manage the key performance targets in your area and demonstrate continuous improvement in patient experience with particular reference to a problem-solving. To support the clinical teams, develop service in accordance to their clinical strategy. This will include Clinical Directors, Consultants, Matrons and Senior Nurses. To ensure that there are clear and transparent measure of success (KPI's) for your service/s and these are delivered at the required level. You will support the department's implementation of service improvement as appropriate and general development of services. You will play a key part in supporting projects and supporting clinical teams plan and review care pathways. You will look after and nurture the staff that you manage to help them to develop their knowledge and skills and perform to a pre-determined level. Communication is a key priority, you are responsible for establishing and maintaining robust systems to cascade information, receive feedback and take appropriate action where necessary.
