What you'll be doing
Logistics Administrator - Days Monday-Wednesday 07:00 - 15:00 at £12.64 per hour
To provide and support the Despatch Team in the day-to-day running of the department, to monitor and action all other relevant information for the department & to produce daily management information.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To raise purchase orders for transport requests for transport/forklift cost.
2. Complete and update records daily for haulier invoices. Email invoice summary sheets to hauliers, deal with any queries.
3. Complete SKU despatched reports, summaries, and transport costs.
4. Complete weekly summary for service levels for both internal and external customers.
5. Complete and update records for actual pallets, transport charges, etc.
6. Complete invoice summary regarding haulier charges and email hauliers weekly.
7. Complete daily managed recovery sheets (CHEP).
8. Complete and update daily labour usages, send to HR on a weekly basis.
9. Maintain shift rota, fire registers, and PPE sheets for all staff and leavers.
10. Manage the ordering of CHEP pallets, de-hire, hire, monitor broken pallets, etc.
11. Liaise with external companies for pallet collection and booking of collections.
12. Report forklift breakdowns, organise repairs once signed off by Despatch Manager.
13. Deal with all despatch notes, PODs, discrepancies, claims, etc.
14. Anything else within the capability of the job holder.
What we're looking for
1. Experience in the food industry would be preferable but not essential.
2. Experience with Microsoft Word & Excel.
3. Training will take 3 weeks and to be fully competent approximately 3 months.
4. Good/Advanced level of both spoken and written English.
5. Good level of numeracy.
6. Level 2 in Health & Safety and Health & Hygiene is desirable but not essential as training will be given.
Additional Information
As the office is in the vicinity of the Coldstore, it can be cold in the winter. You may need to go into the cold store occasionally, which runs at +3 degrees.
