Essential Skills:

Training:
12 weeks training period fully office-based. Please note that no annual leave will be permitted during the first 4 weeks of training.
AO candidates will primarily be allocated to either support roles (uploading, allocating work) or casework roles. These will be online applications where the individual will assess documentation supporting applications, such as those from individuals wanting to enter the UK to visit. Face-to-face training will be delivered, and online/peer/manager guidance will be provided. All staff are expected to work to daily targets, with performance monitored against both quantity produced and the quality and accuracy of decisions.
Responsibilities for Casework Roles:
* Use guidance and policy to consider and make well-judged decisions on customer applications, meeting daily targets while ensuring quality and accuracy.
* Articulate non-complex decisions clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
* Undertake effective management of a non-complex caseload.
* Support colleagues to deliver high-performance standards.
* Deliver against timeliness and quality targets, providing excellent customer service.
* Manage team inboxes and draft complex responses to customers.
