Meadowside in Deal offers overnight residential stays for individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and/or autism.
We are looking for some part-time Support Workers to join our team. Your role will be to create a nurturing and safe environment that promotes the emotional and physical well-being of our residents. Flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to improving outcomes for people are essential qualities for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with a supportive team to ensure smooth shift operations.
2. Provide stimulating and meaningful learning experiences and activities.
3. Supervise and respond to each resident, ensuring their safety and comfort.
4. Offer stimulation and reassurance to make each visit enjoyable.
Shift Pattern:
1. Includes evenings, alternate weekends, and some bank holidays.
2. May require night cover support, although a dedicated night team is in place.
Qualifications:
1. Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or be willing to achieve this within two years of employment.
2. Complete the Care Certificate if not already held.
Expectations:
1. Take personal and professional responsibility for your actions and performance.
2. Engage in an ongoing programme of specialist training and regular supervision to support career progression.
