Sterile Services Lead The Lister Hospital, Chelsea, London Full Time, 37.5 hours/ week. Shifts: Shifts between 0700 and 2100, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays required on rotation Permanent Up to £31,579 per annum, dependent on experience We are currently seeking an experience CSSD lead to join The Lister Hospital. Within this role, you will provide an excellent service to all CSSD Customers that we provide a service to and have good communication with all theatres. You will also be responsible for updating the Standard Operating Procedures related to CSSD/ carrying out departmental audits in line with the Medical directive 93/42 and to work within the QMS. What you’ll do: To manage the day to day operation of the CSSD department, ensuring safe and legal practice and meeting the requirements for sterile supplies of service users within the hospital, in a timely and efficient manner Testing, monitoring and operation of washing machines, sterilisers, and any other equipment where appropriate To order and receive surgical instruments within budget for repair/replacements instruments Receiving reports by other staff members of all accidents, incidents and defects in equipment Reporting to the Manager on the state of the equipment maintenance and any deviation from accepted standards of C.S.S.D Attending departmental staff meetings Assisting with the orientation of new staff To be able to stand in/cover whenever the manager is absent To undertake departmental audits and raise issues (follow through) Setting up new equipment HESSDA End of month reports Figures sent to Finance Non-Conformance reports What you’ll bring: Experience working in a sterile services department in a lead role Knowledge of relevant hospital policies and procedures either within the NHS or private hospital setting Health and Safety training including Lifting and Handling training A real team player who has excellent communication, attention to detail and the ability to recognise and report faults in equipment Why HCA UK?
