Strategic Marketing Manager The Air Ambulance Service provides Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) and The Children’s Air Ambulance (TCAA), delivering life-saving care and paediatric transfers across the UK. About the Role As our Strategic Marketing Manager, you will lead the development and execution of our marketing strategy, supporting key areas of the charity, including Retail, Volunteering, and Fundraising. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that our marketing efforts amplify our mission, engage supporters, and drive growth across multiple channels. This is a hands-on leadership role, balancing strategic planning with execution to deliver high-impact campaigns that enhance brand visibility, attract volunteers and donors, and increase fundraising revenue. This role will involve on site work as well as travelling across our retail and community portfolio. Key Responsibilities Strategic Marketing Development Develop and implement a marketing strategy that aligns with the charity’s goals for Retail, Volunteering, and Fundraising. Identify opportunities to enhance audience engagement and drive long-term supporter relationships. Campaign Planning & Execution Lead the planning, development, and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns to support fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and retail sales. Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and impactful storytelling. Brand Management Maintain and strengthen the charity’s brand identity, ensuring all marketing materials and campaigns reflect our values and mission. Develop creative, compelling content that resonates with key audiences. Volunteer & Donor Engagement Design and implement marketing initiatives that attract, inspire, and retain volunteers and donors. Create targeted campaigns to enhance supporter engagement and advocacy. Team Leadership Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and support. Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Performance Analysis & Reporting Monitor and evaluate marketing performance, using data and insights to optimise campaigns and improve effectiveness. Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior leadership. Budget Management Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources for maximum impact. Identify cost-effective marketing strategies to enhance ROI. About You Proven experience, ideally 5 years plus, in a strategic marketing leadership role, ideally in the charity, nonprofit or retail sector. Strong background in campaign management, brand strategy, and audience engagement. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others. Ideally a degree in Marketing or CIM Level 6 and above. Data-driven mindset with experience in measuring marketing impact and optimising performance. Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
