Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Reporting to: Agricultural Maintenance Manager
Overall aim of the Job: To produce ducks of the best quality as efficiently as possible.
Key Tasks Within The Job
Working from our workshop based at Debach. You will look after agriculture equipment and vehicles, whilst also attending sites to install and maintain items like water lines, drinker systems, feeder systems, gas brooder heaters and other agricultural equipment. This is a varied role requiring good mechanical knowledge, vehicle mechanics and a knowledge of electrics.
Skills, Knowledge And Experience
* Extensive knowledge of vehicle mechanics. (City and Guilds 3905)
* Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering. (BTech Level 3)
* Plumbing skills
* Knowledge of electrics. To include 230/415 volts and vehicle electrics.
* Extensive knowledge of all agriculture equipment. To include tractors, trailers, and grass cutting equipment.
A company vehicle and mobile phone will be supplied.
Gressingham has its own dedicated training department and will provide additional support and training to those that wish to progress within the business.

Job Type: Permanent
Hours per week: 48 Hours per week
Working Times: Monday to Friday, start time from 6am. On call over on alternative weeks / weekends.
Pay Rate: Competitive salary depending on experience, progression routes available as training is completed, and the role taken on.
