What will you be doing?
Key objectives in your role as Management Accountant include:
* Preparation of weekly and monthly tasks.
* Collation of weekly outlook data to report forecasted P&L to Division.
* Producing daily stock reports.
* Collation of weekly manufacturing KPI & panel production data.
* Supporting the Operations Accountant with weekly tasks.
* Full responsibility of fixed asset register & capex requests.
* Carrying out full fixed asset verification and full review of fixed asset register.
* Processing expense claims, ensuring adherence to policy.
* Producing month end reporting pack for review of FC & FD.
* Uploading Management account actuals, forecast into the Group consolidation system.
* Responsibility for intercompany reconciliations.
* Balance sheet control reconciliation.
* Ensuring actuals are accurately input into departments' budget models with analysis of variances.
* Updating P&L forecast with actuals reconciled to ERP system.
* Assisting in preparation of half-year and full-year Statutory Financial Statements.
* Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and submissions.
* P11D submissions.
* Collation of data for annual R&D tax claims.
* Analysis of VAT recoverable on expenses claimed/not reclaimed.
* Any other ad-hoc duties deemed necessary.
Compliance:
* Adhere to the Company's compliance obligations, policies, processes, and procedures.
* Report compliance concerns, issues, and failures.
* Participate in training as required.
What do you need?
You should:
* Have professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA or similar.
* Have experience in a Management Accountant role in a manufacturing environment.
* Hold experience working in a busy finance team environment.
* Possess excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to set objectives and prioritise workloads.
* Have strong communication skills and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
* Be structured, self-motivated and passionate about detail.
* Have strong reporting skills with an ability to manage and interpret data quickly while ensuring accuracy.
* Be PC literate with strong Excel, MS Office, and reporting skills. SAP accounting software experience would be advantageous.
