About This Role
Pickwick Academy Trust is recruiting a permanent, part-time (0.9 FTE) SENCo based at Ivy Lane School.
Our School
Ivy Lane School is a two-form entry Primary School located in the centre of Chippenham, Wiltshire, part of the Pickwick Academy Trust. We emphasize 'Learning for Life' and have a strong commitment to outdoor learning and social-emotional support.
Role Overview
We are looking to appoint an outstanding and dedicated SENCO to support the school’s community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic leadership and development of SEN across the school
* Fulfil the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
* Responsible for day-to-day operation of SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision
* Monitoring the provision and progress of SEN, EAL, AGAT and looked after children
* Provide professional guidance to colleagues and work closely with staff, parents and other agencies
* Participate in senior leadership meetings
* Manage Teaching Assistants to deliver intervention programmes and 1:1 support
* Liaise with parent groups
* Contribute to the wider school life and the school’s core values and ethos
