GXPeople have partnered with a VC-backed and patient-focused medical device company in their search for a Senior or Lead Electronics Engineer to join their team in London on a full-time basis.
They are growing their team to accelerate the development of their first product. This will be a full-time role based in their Head office in London.
What we are looking for:
1. You are an Embedded Engineer, with experience in electronics and embedded software, who loves to get well-engineered products to market.
2. You will have a Science or Engineering-based degree or equivalent vocational experience in the electronics industry.
3. You will have 4+ years relevant experience in the medical sector.
4. You will be experienced in eCAD/ED software to realize your solution by drawing schematics and layout PCBs.
5. On multiple occasions, you will have exported production packs, compiled BOMs, and worked with PCB fabricators to bring your designs to life.
6. You will have good hands-on experience prototyping and reworking electronics in addition to seeing your designs through mass production.
7. You will have had experience working with MCUs, sensors, PMIC, and communication electronics, and worked with electronic fundamentals such as I2C, SPI, USB, WiFi, and Bluetooth.
8. The role is not restricted to hardware design, and you have strong experience with embedded systems such as C at least and others.
9. You will have had experience working with Mechanical, Software & Design Engineers.
10. You will have experience using and developing testing systems along with writing technical documentation.
11. You will have had experience of version control systems for hardware and software design.
12. You will have had experience in maintaining adherence to ISO 13485 standards and contribute to quality control processes.
13. You will have had experience on transfer to manufacture and design relevant testers and jigs when appropriate.
What you will do:
1. Collaborate with the team to develop reliable products with real-world impact.
2. Designing and planning product requirement architecture.
3. Schematic Capture and PCB Layout of the above with input from mechanical and product engineers.
4. Assembling electronic prototypes either in-house or via external vendors.
5. Writing embedded software and testing.
6. Developing and reporting accurate costs of your design.
7. Developing strategies to mitigate supply chain issues.
8. Debugging and testing of new and old designs should problems arise.
9. Move throughout the product life cycle of the products, from concept, to prototypes, to mass production.
10. Building relationships with suppliers and vendors.
11. Technical writing and documentation to support users, other teams, and regulatory bodies during certification.
