We are seeking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant to join our team based at Woodlands House, Aylesbury.
Woodlands House is a 20-bedded low secure forensic ward for male adult, offering services to people suffering from enduring mental illness. We work within the principles of the recovery model and encourage familiesâ involvement with those in our care.
You will be expected to contribute and participate under supervision in the assessment, planning, implementing and evaluation of care and treatment for people with mental health problems.
It is mandatory for you to complete Management of Violence Aggression Training, Breakaway Training and other training directly related to the job.
You will work a rotating shift pattern to cover our 24 hours 7 day a week service. All candidates must be computer literate.

The Role of a Healthcare/Support Worker within Forensic Inpatient Services is a core member of the ward team. Working under the supervision of qualified nursing staff you will deliver care to mentally disordered patients and assist in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of their nursing care needs.
As a member of the ward team, you will actively contribute to a positive environment in which excellence in care can flourish.
