Workshop Stores Assistant

Our Client is looking to recruit a Workshop Stores Assistant to provide support in managing inventory, issuing parts and tools, and ensuring smooth operations of the workshop storeroom. Assisting with stock control, record-keeping, and maintaining an organised and efficient store.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Handling & Inventory Management:
Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing spare parts, tools, and consumables.
Update stock records and ensure all inventory movements are properly documented.
Conduct stock counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies
Issuing & Returning Stock:
Record all items issued and returned, ensuring proper documentation.
Check returned tools for damage and report any missing or faulty items
Storage & Housekeeping:
Keep the store clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Ensure all items are correctly labelled and stored in designated locations.
Assist in implementing proper stock rotation to prevent expiry or damage.
Supplier Coordination & Procurement Support:
Assist in checking deliveries against purchase orders and reporting discrepancies.
Support procurement by monitoring stock levels and informing the relevant parties of low stock.
Help with returning defective or incorrect parts to suppliers.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
Follow safety procedures when handling hazardous materials, lubricants, or heavy parts.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding stock handling.
Report any safety concerns or damaged stock to the Store man or Workshop Manager.
General Administration & Reporting:
Assist in maintaining records of stock movements, invoices, and delivery notes.
Help prepare inventory reports for management o Ensure accurate data entry into inventory management systems
