EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Salary: £83 - £100 per day
Start Date: September 2024
Contract Type: Full-Time
GSL Education are currently in search of an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant for an Alternative Provision located in York, North Yorkshire, starting in September 2024. This presents a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant keen on personal and professional growth within a supportive role.
EYFS Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher in addressing the educational and social needs of students.
* Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with complex needs.
* Emphasize the development of social skills during lessons, exercise, and group sessions, focusing on life and communication skills as per the students' needs.
* Collaborate with a lead teacher to support two vulnerable and complex learners.
* Contribute to planning and preparing learning activities, resources, and materials for the EYFS curriculum.
* Assist in assessments and maintain records of each child's development and learning.
Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant Requirements:
* Encouragement for aspiring Pastoral Workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, SALTs, Counsellors, and Social Workers.
* Previous experience in a school support role or relevant child-related experience.
* Display a caring and professional demeanor, willing to assist with the personal care of pupils.
* Must possess the legal right to work in the UK.
* Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education.
