Geocore Site Investigations part of the RSK Group have an opportunity for an full-time, permanent Assistant Driller to join our team in Redcar, UK. Geocore deliver geotechnical services and install geothermal loops to our UK client base with the potential to work on international projects. Although based in Redcar, this role will be predominantly on site and will require some overnight stays away from home. Responsibilities: Working outside throughout the year in varying locations around the UK Carrying out routine and preventative maintenance, including regular cleaning of rig and vehicles, as and when required Undertaking other general labouring duties e.g., erecting fences, general reinstatement, light instrument monitoring, delivery of consumables, hand dug inspection pits and collection of samples Learning the process and operation of drilling rigs and boreholes Managing and resolving problems through knowledge and experience of different drilling procedures Accurately completing progress and job logs Maintaining tools and equipment Ensuring safety throughout the drilling process Experience and Qualifications: CSCS Card Previous manual / technical work experience Full driving licence is essential Flexibility to work in varying locations around the UK, often at short notice throughout the year Previous drilling skills and / or experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given Health and safety qualification is desirable but not essential Strong problem-solving skills Telescopic handler licence advantageous Salary and benefits: Salary £30,875 based on a working week of 47.5 Hours Contributory Pension Scheme A flexible benefits programme including the option to buy additional holidays, childcare vouchers and private health care The RSK Group is an equal opportunities employer Construction Geotechnical Labourer RSK will not accept unsolicited CVs from agencies other than RSK PSL or Secondary agencies
