Samuel Frank is recruiting for a PLC Software Engineer with considerable experience of writing PLC software from scratch for a successful system integrator. PLC Software Engineers with experience of Rockwell / Allen Bradley PLCs and the associated SCADA software will be considered favourably for this successful, Cheshire based system integrator.
The company operates mainly in the process sector and has PLC software project work in the utilities, water treatment, energy, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Main Activities:
1. Configure and develop PLC / SCADA software from scratch.
2. Understand (and be able to deliver) the project lifecycle from concept through to completion.
3. Produce specifications and design documentation.
4. Test and commission safely in operational end user environments.
5. 80/20 split of being office based and working on site for short periods.
Other Factors:
1. Looking for a PLC Software Engineer who has “been there and done it” i.e. someone who has a combination of strong programming skills and solid documentation experience, ideally Degree qualified with more than 5 years relevant experience.
2. They are keen to assist Engineers in gaining Chartered status and have moved to a much bigger, modern office which means growing the control system teams and opportunities for career development.
3. This role will suit a PLC Software Engineer who has had the experience of working for a system integrator where full project life cycle involvement is an expectation.
