We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical/Forensic or Counselling Psychologist to join our Integrated Mental Health team at HMP Preston, a category B Prison located in Lancashire, housing around 750 patients. The site is based just of off the A59 for those commuting and is accessible via public transport. Within this role you will work collaboratively with the Mental Health and will be an integral part of the clinical leadership team supporting the development of the psychological therapies service.
Hours 9am-5pm we are flexible as to which days you could work across Monday-Friday
Salary
This position is days per week, youll receive an annual salary up to £55,650 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job
As a Psychologist, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
1. Offer clinical support and oversight to the Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT)
2. Undertake psychological assessments
3. Support complex multi-disciplinary formulations
4. Deliver psychological interventions to cases of complexity
5. Deliver and oversee 1:1 and group intervention as part of the Trauma Informed 'Making Sense' Programme
6. Deliver teaching and training to healthcare and prison staff where required
7. Contribute to the development of audit, service evaluation and research profile as appropriate

Qualifications and skills required:
17. Registered with professional body or regulatory body as appropriate to psychological therapy discipline, HCPC/BPS
18. Experience of highly specialist psychological assessment and individual and group based treatment of clients across the full range of care settings, including primary and secondary/ specialist care and inpatient/residential, outpatient and community team settings and forensic settings.
19. Experience working with psychological trauma
