Senior Estates Surveyor Start: ASAP Rate: Negotiable dependant on experience (inside IR35) Duration: 6 Month initially Hybrid Working Arrangement – 2/3 days onsiteFull Clean Driving Licence Required
They are looking for a highly skilled and specialised commercial surveyor to take on a waterfront development plan, as well as completing large-scale disposals and associated project management work to coordinate with agents and lawyers. Other work includes involvement in town centre regeneration and high-level influence with major stakeholders both within the council and outside Requirements: • MRICS with minimum 10 years PQE with extensive demonstrable experience• A strong understanding of Landlord and Tenant law is essential given the scale of the projects and the necessity to protect the council’s interests• Local Authority experience is also an essential requirement especially an understanding of the committee cycle and executive papers• Strong negotiation skills • Comprehensive and current market awareness• Experience of negotiating and closing commercial contracts• Knowledge of statutory notices, property and LL&T law• Comfortable advising and engaging with senior management members, stake holders and industry leaders • Knowledge of grant funding and how it works • Comfortable liaising with the council’s communication and marketing team • Comfortable liaising with departments across the council and other organisations including representatives of neighbouring boroughs • Strong team player, able to lead and direct support staff and other disciplines • Experience of LA procurement
