Salary: £42,500pa + Overtime
Hours: Monday to Thursday (38 hour)

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Installation Electrician to support the assembly, testing, and validation of advanced vehicle systems. This role involves integrating electrical, mechanical, and software components, ensuring seamless functionality across all vehicle systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and hands-on experience working with complex vehicle architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble, install, and integrate mechanical and electrical systems in zero-emission vehicles.
* Conduct functional testing and validation of integrated vehicle systems to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
* Work closely with engineering teams to support prototype builds, modifications, and continuous improvements.
* Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics to ensure accurate system integration.
* Perform software uploads, system calibrations, and parameter adjustments as required.
* Support high-voltage and powertrain system integration.
* Maintain detailed records of work completed and report any technical concerns or improvements.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Key Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Proven experience as a Vehicle Installation Engineer or similar role within the automotive, EV, or heavy vehicle industry.
* Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, CAN bus communication, and diagnostics.
* Experience with mechanical fitting, assembly, and system testing.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
* Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for vehicle system integration.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Desirable:
* Experience working with electric or hybrid vehicles.
* Knowledge of high-voltage power systems and battery management.
* Relevant industry certifications in electrical safety or vehicle diagnostics.
