Job summary We are looking to appoint a professionally registered Emergency Nurse/Care Practitioner to work within our minor injuries team of nurses and paramedics. The successful applicant will have extensive post registration experience of which a significant period will be within Emergency Medicine at Band 6 or above or significant experience as a Paramedic. The ability to work cross site is essential, however the base for this post is at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Main duties of the job The post holder will work autonomously as a senior clinicalpractitioner and contribute to the management of the 'MinorsStream' within the Emergency Department through the effectiveuse of resources and ensuring the delivery of safe, effective andpatient-centred care The post holder will have the appropriate knowledge and skills inorder to practice autonomously, being responsible for theassessment, diagnosis, treatment and referral to specialityclinicians, or discharge home. The post holder will manage a diverse range of patients (adultsand children), who present with a range of minor injuries orminor illness. The post holder will provide credible leadership and a seniornursing resource to junior members of the team and beinstrumental in developing a culture that improves quality andenhances the patient experience.
