Job Title: Pre-Con Quantity Surveyor
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £45,000 - £65000 plus package
Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Pre-Con Quantity Surveyor to join our team and work alongside the Pre-Con Commercial Manager. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the pre-construction phase, involved in tendering packages, cost planning, and subcontractor management. The role is based out of their Liverpool offices and focuses on tenders in the High Rise sector.
Responsibilities:
- Tendering Packages: Collaborate with the estimating team to prepare accurate and competitive tender packages.
- Assess and analyze tender documents, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Cost Planning: Assist in the preparation of detailed cost plans for upcoming projects.
- Work closely with the pre-construction team to ensure accurate cost estimations.
- Appointments and Subcontracts: Contribute to the preparation of appointments and subcontract agreements.
- Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to ensure contracts align with project requirements.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring efficiency and competence in handling tasks.
- Adapt quickly to changing project requirements and deadlines.
- Experience and Training: Ideal for a more experienced Assistant QS or a young estimator looking to grow in their career.
- Demonstrate competence in the role, minimizing the need for extensive
training.
- Project Focus: Specialize in healthcare-related projects, involving the fitting out of equipment and refurbishment of buildings.
- Understand the unique challenges and requirements of healthcare construction.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Ensure clear communication and coordination throughout the pre-construction phase.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience as an Assistant QS or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of Quantity Surveying in a pre-construction context.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Familiarity with healthcare construction projects is advantageous.
Competence in cost planning and tendering processes
