Our client based in Lymington has a requirement for a qualified and developing Maintenance Technician to join their busy manufacturing business.
The main purpose of the role is to support the engineering team in ensuring maximum availability and reliability of production equipment by attending to equipment breakdowns and effecting repairs promptly. You will also carry out PPM activities, organise maintenance of site and the utilities.
The main duties will include the following:
* Maintain and support current products and manufacturing processes.
* Ensure production equipment is available and operating correctly when it is needed.
* Support production training processes.
* Develop processes and gather data.
* Seek to provide continual improvements.
* Ensure all plant and equipment operates in accordance with required standards.
* Liaison with contractors and the ability to review risk assessments and method statements.
* Adherence to plant and equipment maintenance schedules.
* Respond quickly to reduce line stop time.
* Support engineers across the business.
The role would suit a relative beginner with the right qualifications and a year’s industry experience, someone who is looking for an opportunity to develop and gain good experience.
