About The Role At The Guide Dogs, we’re dedicated to helping individuals with sight loss live the life they choose. As a Statutory Grants and Trusts Officer, you will play a key role in securing essential funding to support our services, ensuring our growth and long-term sustainability. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of funding prospects and working alongside a passionate team to create effective funding opportunities that align with our mission. What you’ll do Generate and Grow Income: Secure in-year and multi-year funding from statutory sources, Trusts, and Foundations to support our charity’s strategy, objectives, and services. Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with key departments to identify and build funding opportunities that contribute to the achievement of departmental and organizational objectives. Manage and monitor live grants secured, report and work as the link between funders and Guide Dogs to ensure robust relationships are developed. Deliver on Targets: Achieve financial goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with clear tracking and reporting of your performance. Monitor and Learn: Gather feedback from funders, analyse successes and failures, and use this knowledge to guide future funding strategies. Research Funding Trends: Stay ahead of the curve by researching and reviewing the external funding landscape, ensuring we’re well-positioned to seize new opportunities. Influence Strategy: Input into the national strategy of the Trusts, Grants, and Foundations team, ensuring our approach remains aligned with sector trends and policy changes. Stay Informed: Keep up to date with government policies and other factors that could impact statutory funding opportunities and the delivery of our services. This role can be based from either Reading or our National Centre in Leamington Spa. You'll be working 35 hours per week, worked 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
