Day-to-day of the role: Manage a complex caseload and provide expert supervision and coaching to colleagues. Deputise for the Team Manager, leading the team and managing duty services. Responsible for conducting thorough assessments and planning responses to safeguard and promote children’s welfare. Participate in case conferences, court attendances, meetings, and statutory reviews, taking the lead when a social care perspective is required. Build and maintain effective working relationships with partners, agencies, and the community to support children, young people, and families. Required Skills & Qualifications: Recognised social work qualification (Diploma, Degree, or Masters in Social Work, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent) with current registration with Social Work England. Evidence of continuing professional development aligned with relevant Professional Competency/Capability frameworks or Knowledge and Skills Statements. Significant experience in social work, with a comprehensive understanding of all relevant legislation, regulation, and guidance. Experience in mentoring social work students and staff, and expertise in professional social work practice.
