HARWICH AND DOVERCOURT HIGH SCHOOL Assistant SENCO Pay Range: Local Government Scale 7 Actual Salary from: £27,289 – £30,273 (Points 19-24 ) Start Date: January 2025 The Role We are seeking an outstanding individual to provide the SENCO with a high quality administrative support service, delivering a front line, efficient and effective service to students, parents, staff and external agencies. This post is 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (Term Time, plus Non-pupil days and 2 weeks during school closure periods) Please note that we reserve the right to close this advert early should we receive an overwhelming response. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Through individual plans, pupil passports etc. guide teaching staff in how to meet the needs of individual pupils. Support the identification of effective interventions for specific additional needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia). Contribute to the monitoring of effective interventions through maintaining the School's provision map. Liaise with other schools to ensure continuity of support and learning when transferring SEND pupils. (The full details can be found in the attached Job Outline and Person Specification). We're looking for you if you have: 5 GCSE or equivalents including English and Maths and excellent IT skills.
