Salary: £61,110+ (Depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
* Accountable for leading a team of professionals, managing a project, contract or specific work package of spend across the source to pay lifecycle or leading a strategically important/very complex supplier or experienced subject matter expert with extensive procurement knowledge.
* Accountable for delivering cost, delivery and quality targets for allocated area of spend, directly contributing to business objectives and financial performance.
* Works with the team and cross functionally to drive procurement solutions, requiring the job holder to plan, deliver and deploy appropriate procurement interventions and resource in support of business aims.
* Manages supplier relationship for allocated area of responsibilities and utilises market insight, external and internal best practice to drive business change.
* Responsible for key supplier performance measures linked to functional and business plan, this includes but not limited to savings and value targets, supplier delivery, supplier quality and relationship management.
Your skills and experiences:
* Experience of sourcing, negotiation, and contracting with key suppliers is essential, alongside subcontract management for project delivery, preferably within an aerospace or defence environment.
* Will have significant experience working across the source to pay lifecycle, with some experience working across the wider procurement discipline structure.
* Good project management skills, product awareness, commercial acumen, financial awareness, risk and opportunity management.
* Good understanding of external environment and relevant market intelligence over a range of product categories, preferably within a defence arena.
* People management experience of leading diverse teams of professionals.
* Experience in manufacturing, engineering or defence background.
* ERP experience, particularly SAP S/4.
* Achieved or studying towards MCIPS or a relevant business degree.
