Job Description
The role as a Senior Test Engineer will be to:
* Lead a small engineering team and being responsible for PDP and day to day management of Test Engineers.
* Writing of test plans and reports.
* Facility management, 5S deployment and Capex procedures.
* Prepare, run and report out tests to customers, included tooling and hardware design or acquisition.
* Manage facility and capability upgrades.
* Internal & external technical relationships with customers and suppliers.
* Support the establishment of safe working practices and necessary level of documentation.
* Lead the Health & Safety of themselves and the department and complies with company Health & Safety requirements.
* Strong organisational & teamworking skills.
* Support testing for production, research, qualification and validation of new and existing products.
* Manage testing projects and capability development within the function.
* There will be occasional overnight travel required to support external testing.
* You shall technically support the Mechanical Test Lab, with queries and issue resolution.
* You will also support the work of the business to establish safe working practices and necessary level of documentation.
* You will be involved with projects from the planning / assembly / instrumentation / commissioning phase through to successfully performing and reporting the test.
* You will have a minimum of 5 years test experience across key areas of the role.
* Have a background of working in a Test environment within an Engineering company.
Good report writing skills including status and progress reporting.
