Job Description
We do offer sponsorship for this role - all applicants must hold a valid UK NMC pin.
For this role you must be fully flexible Monday to Sunday. You will be allocated shifts on a rotational basis. You must be able to work a combination of 8am - 8pm / 8pm - 8am depending on day or night shift role.
You will not be able to provide us with your availability and we cannot allocate you your preferred shifts. Please consider this carefully before applying.
The Home
Nightingale Care Home is situated in the scenic area of Dungannon overlooking the beautiful Black Lough. We are within walking distance of the main Ulster Bus Depot in Dungannon which allows for great access to the home and easy access to and from the motorway. Nightingale has 34 General Nursing beds and 10 General Residential beds. Our main purpose here at Nightingale is to ensure that the highest quality of care is provided for everyone’s individual needs. Our motto is: ‘May all who enter as guests leave as friends’.
The Role
The role of a Registered Nurse in our services is a key position in our mission to provide excellent and inclusive care. The Registered Nurse is a leadership role, playing a vital part in managing the care of our residents and providing high-quality and person-centred care. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans tailored to the individual needs of our residents.
We pride ourselves on being able to deliver excellent care to our residents. As a Registered Nurse, you will support the management of shifts, ensuring the safety of all residents and our team. The role of Registered Nurse is always evolving, and having a commitment to personal and professional development will ensure that you are able to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents and their families.
Main Responsibilities
1. Delivering person-centred care to each resident
2. Assess and monitor the physical health of residents within care plans
3. To offer support and supervise all care staff or new recruits
4. Ensure effective communication of any concerns relating to resident care
5. Complying with relevant regulatory and statutory requirements
6. Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager
