Role
GCVS is looking to recruit an experienced Employers Advice Service Manager to lead a team providing advice services to Third Sector organisations across Scotland on a commercial basis. The team offers third sector organisations expert advice, information, support, consultancy, and training in the areas of HR, Health and Safety, Recruitment, and Data protection. The service has been running since 2000, and GCVS is ambitious to continue growing the service to ensure third sector organisations without access to internal specialised resources receive personalised support that offers excellence and value for money.
Applicants should have a professional HR qualification (ideally CIPD qualified) and demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience of employers’ legal responsibilities as well as good practice in all aspects of Human Resources and managing staff. Significant experience of demonstrating astute situational awareness in the delivery of support to external organisations on sensitive matters is essential to succeed in this post.
Funding to ensure the sustainability of the service is supported from income generation through subscriptions, consultancy, and training, so the post holder will be expected to market as well as deliver the service.

PURPOSE OF POST:
Engage with Angus communities to promote community development and encourage volunteering while supporting initiatives that drive positive change. This role helps build a more resilient and sustainable Third Sector in Angus by offering inclusive volunteering opportunities, organisational support, training, and evidence-based interventions.
MAIN DUTIES:
* Build capacity of voluntary organisations, volunteering groups, and aspiring social enterprises.
* Create up-to-date and engaging resources tailored for specific target audiences.
* Identify barriers to volunteering and implement strategies to overcome them.
* Promote volunteering and the benefits to individuals and groups by a variety of means, including community events, delivering information sessions, and online sessions.
* Create positive working relationships with organisations where there is the potential for people to gain new skills, lead to employment, and give back to the community.
* Work in partnership with Angus Health and Social Care Partnership (AHSCP) and Community Planning Partnership (CPP) developments at an operational level.
* Develop local empowerment opportunities through meaningful community engagement approaches with local communities, organisations, and volunteer movements.
* Build strong working relationships with community workers, key organisations, and local communities to encourage participation and promote coordinated approaches across Angus.
* Collaborate with communities and key partners through consultation, as well as awareness, learning, and training events.
* Coordinate with communities and partners to evaluate needs, including addressing issues raised by community planning partners, and contribute to collaborative efforts.
* Facilitate and develop volunteer management/coordination through providing facilitated forums and sharing best practice.
* Offer communities opportunities to build their capacity and empower them to foster positive and sustainable change, using models of best practice and co-production.
* In collaboration with communities and key partners, create and support new initiatives and opportunities that enhance service delivery.
* Assist Community Link Workers in the area by facilitating continuous learning and development, sharing local information, and providing monthly updates.
* Assist in creating and delivering networking, learning, and development opportunities to help organisations and groups meet best practice standards.
* Provide guidance on best practice and signpost to funding opportunities.
* Help support the start-up of organisations by helping with constitutions and organisational governance support.
* Recognise and report issues and 'knowledge gaps' among volunteers, volunteer-involving organisations, and communities.
* Make links with local health workers to identify other opportunities through VAA online directory system (Community Connector) and other means to ensure people get the right help at the right time.
* First point of contact for all local Third Sector organisations, community/volunteering groups, and social enterprises within the locality.
* Engage with communities and groups to establish needs and wants to promote preventive work around mental health and wellbeing.
* Undertake monitoring requirements, report outcomes, and provide service updates as required.

The post is a joint commitment between HTSI and the Highland Council and is intended to support strengthening employment outcomes for the people of the Highlands through improving the capacity, scope, and influence of third sector employability provision.

The Community Justice Coordinator will play a key role in Inverclyde’s partnership approach to community justice. The successful candidate will contribute to the local community justice agenda through cross-sectoral meetings, events, and writing evaluations and reports on local activity. What will you do as Corporate Partnerships Manager?
Here at BTA, we have been given the fantastic opportunity of representing SAMH in their search for their new Corporate Partnerships Manager. Your expertise in account and relationship management will be crucial in building long-term, sustainable financial support where you will play a pivotal part in managing corporate partnerships that provide vital funding for SAMH mental health programs.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing multi-year partnerships and delivering exceptional stewardship journeys for corporate supporters. Additionally, you will have a vital role in the Account Management team, while also collaborating closely with colleagues across the Fundraising Department and wider SAMH to fully maximise all opportunities for our partners.
Key responsibilities include:
* Direct Line Management – Provide leadership and guidance to a team of two Account Managers, supporting their development and success. You will also support the Senior Manager in maximising the corporate income stream through partnership work.
* Account Management – Understanding funding mechanisms and processes is required to create relevant and innovative offerings tailored to partner needs, making SAMH more attractive to corporate sponsors.
* Maximising Partnerships - Delivering high-quality, impactful partnerships that consistently meet or exceed partner expectations. Executing partnership projects flawlessly, building trust and paving the way for future collaboration and increased financial contributions.
* Relationship Management – Maintaining the current partnerships within SAMH, building and growing ongoing relationships to encourage long-term support and funding.
* Representation – Act as a passionate ambassador for SAMH, effectively representing our values and mission to external stakeholders and partners and advocating for mental health awareness and support in all interactions.
What does SAMH need from you?
Experience:
* Strong experience in meeting and exceeding income or fundraising targets, with the ability to develop and implement successful partnership strategies.
* Knowledge in managing corporate partnerships, ideally within a charity or not-for-profit sector.
* Demonstrable experience of line managing staff, including supporting and developing staff – desirable.
Key Skills and Attributes:
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including confidence in public speaking/presentations and report writing.
* Strategic thinking with the ability to identify new business development opportunities and areas for partnership growth.
* Competence in using CRM systems and databases to manage partner information and track progress – desirable.
