Viking Mechanical is a leading aftermarket workshop specialising in exceptional vehicle / equipment maintenance based in Paget Mackay. We are expanding our capabilities and building our business working towards hiring a dynamic team to provide exceptional customer service in the Mackay and Bown Basin region.
We are currently seeking multiple Trade Qualified Heavy Commercial and Light Vehicle Mechanical Technicians to join our team.
Your Duties:
1. Perform vehicle / equipment repairs and site maintenance work as outlined by the manufacturer with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
2. Effectively communicate with parts departments and service advisors to keep customers informed on the progress of their vehicle/equipment.
3. Conduct multipoint inspections and provide recommendations to ensure the safety and reliability of the vehicle/equipment.
Ideally, applicants will have experience with the following:
1. Routine services and maintenance repairs (necessary and preventative maintenance) on fleets of trucks, trailers, and light vehicles and equipment.
2. Fault diagnosis and resolution.
3. Proven experience regarding scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on Iveco trucks and light vehicles and equipment.
4. Maintain accurate records of work completed.
5. Work autonomously in a largely unsupervised role while being able to get along with others.
6. Communicate with management and prioritise work in a busy and challenging environment.
To be considered for this role, candidates must be:
1. Trade qualified Mechanical Technician.
2. Prepared to travel for site work.
3. A/C licence beneficial.
4. Previous experience working on road transport will be highly regarded.
5. Able to work autonomously and within a team environment.
6. Possess a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
7. Have a strong safety focus and commitment.
8. Light Vehicle Trade qualification.
9. Able to undertake Standard 11 and pass a Coal Board Medical.
10. Pass a drug and alcohol workplace test.
11. Hold a current licence.
Package:
Salary: Between $70,000 and $75,000 per annum + Super.
Immediate Start Above Award Rates + Superannuation + Leave Entitlements. Flexible Salary Options Available for the right candidate. Relocation Reimbursement available for the right candidate.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will provide safe, efficient and compliant diagnostic, maintenance, and component replacement services. You will develop relationships and build trust.
