Thursday to Sunday – 2200 to 0600 hours.

To co-ordinate an efficient Domestic and out of hours Catering service, maintaining a safe, clean working environment adhering to health and safety working practices and food hygiene regulations.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering the service in adherence with the Food Safety Management System, National Cleaning Standards and Infection Prevention guidelines.
Main Accountabilities:
Health & Safety - Responsible for:
* Ensuring the Patient Catering out of hours meal service is run safely and in accordance with regulatory direction.
* Ensuring the Domestic service is compliant with all cleaning standards and requirements.
* Ensure all HACCP regulations are complied with and conducting audits as required.
* Manage the services in line with the SMS.
* Ensure all risk assessments are followed.
People Management - Responsible for:
* Ensure that all night staff training is up to date and refreshed as required by regulatory, contractual or SMS guidance. Ensure all night staff have an annual competency assessment/myCatch Up.
* Ensure that the absence management of staff is dealt with in a timely manner in accordance with Serco policies.
Customer Relationships – Responsible for:
* Ensuring that relationships with clinical staff are developed across the night service and responses to client requests and incidents are responded to appropriately and in a timely manner.
* Foster a partnering approach to all client and customer relationships.
* Investigating client complaints, implementing action plans and monitoring improvements.
Operational Delivery – Responsible for:
* Delivering a safe and compliant service. Compliant with regulatory guidance, contract and SMS.
* Deliver a successful service that at least meets the minimum KPI and audit standards across the domestic service.
* Assist in the completion of Domestic audits.
* Ensure accurate reporting for all KPIs or other requests for information from the Trust or line managers.
* Ensure that the service is delivered by trained and competent staff.
* Ensure that staff allocation is efficient at night and tailored to deliver the service required by the Trust at any point in time depending on changes within the hospital.
* Ensure that any stock issued from the stores is accurately recorded.
Finance – Responsible for:
* Work with the Service Line Manager to ensure that labour hours are managed within the thresholds set in the Target Operating Model and approved rosters for all services.
Other
* Contribute to the development of the contracts business strategy and business plan.
* Undertake other ad hoc duties as requested by senior managers and within the scope of skills and capability.
* Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote the vision and values of Serco.
