GSL Education are seeking a passionate Primary School Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Christchurch for a full-time position, with immediate start options available and part-time arrangements considered, especially for those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) experience.
About the role:
As a Primary School Teacher, you will create an engaging and inclusive learning environment, focusing on the needs of all students, with a particular emphasis on those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Responsibilities of the Primary school teacher:
* Deliver engaging and comprehensive lesson plans tailored to the diverse needs of students.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and development for all children.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance their educational journey.
* Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for every student, particularly those with SEN.
* Develop and implement strategies that encourage student participation and foster a love for learning.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
* Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to school initiatives and events.
Requirements of the Primary School Teacher:
* A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
* Experience teaching in a primary school setting; SEN experience is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and staff effectively.
* A patient and empathetic approach to teaching, with a strong commitment to student development.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
* Knowledge of safeguarding practices and a commitment to the well-being of all students.
