We are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant team and provide tailored support to students, helping them reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment. This role begins April 2025.
Duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Support students with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language difficulties
* Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated lessons and adapting materials to meet individual learning needs
* Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help students develop confidence and independence
* Implement behaviour management strategies and emotional support techniques as needed
* Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with children, preferably in an SEN or educational setting
* A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
* A patient, understanding, and empathetic approach to supporting students with SEN
* Strong communication and teamwork skills as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
* A passion for helping children overcome challenges and succeed
