As the Non-Routine Operations Officer, it is your job to supervise resources, coordinate and deliver routine and non-routine operational procedures such as project, maintenance, defect and breakdown whilst driving performance excellence within the team to optimise work efficiencies and maximise asset and plant availability and reliability. You will manage the safe setting to work in accordance with the safe control of operations procedures, driving a team culture of safe working and safety compliance. You will support the construction and commissioning of new assets onto the system, identify the requirement to replace and / or upgrade existing plant and equipment including the preparation of a business case. Ensuring that the emergency, security, safety, operational and environmental plans and procedures are developed, authorised, reviewed and tested will become a part of your routine responsibilities. You will manage allocated resources to produce cost effective, customer focused and efficient service within budget, assisting with the indirect control of various projects so timescales and budgeted costs are met. You will undertake installation, inspection, commissioning, operation, repair, maintenance and emergency response activities associated with compressor stations, pipeline and AGI systems. What you’ll need To be successful in this role you will have strong leadership, influencing, customer orientation and communication skills. You will likely have a HNC, NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline, IOSH managing safely and a valid UK driving licence as this role will cover a broad patch with travel can be expected to be twice a week on average. You will naturally gravitate towards delivering work methodically whilst using your experience from the utilities or similar industry to do that.
