Mental Health Housing Support Worker
Across our services in Worcestershire - Kidderminster and Worcester
Temporary 6 months fixed term, full time (37.5 hpw), 24hr service working on a rota - including sleep in shifts
Pay £12 per hour (£23,464 per annum) and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

As our Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of supporting our customers who have mental health needs to develop their skills to live more independently in the community. You’ll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations.
Typical day as our Support Worker
* Assisting customers with practical, daily living tasks to develop their independence, helping them to achieve the goals, aspirations and outcomes documented in their support plans.
* Support our customers who have a Mental Health Diagnosis, to manage independently in their own home.
* Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.
* Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.
* Cuppas, chats and catch ups. There’s no rushing from one customer to the next here! Plenty of time to work together with colleagues too.
You bring
* Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working together with an eye for detail.
* Experience of caring for others, you may have worked in care before or have experience of caring for others such as family members or children.
* The ability to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approach.
* Recognise every customer is different and you’re able to adopt a flexible, personal approach, listening to customers to understand their needs.
* To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage.
Job details
* Where we’re flexible with you, we do need to meet the needs of our customers.
* You’ll work in a 24hr service, completing your share of late nights, weekends and bank holidays and sleep in shifts.
* You will be covering services within Worcestershire - you will be expected to cover the different services as needed.
* Although you’ll lone work, we do get together regularly for training and team meetings.
* You’re able to use technology to update support plans, complete online learning and to collaborate with colleagues.
* You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
