Fluent Spanish & English language skills required for an established, yet still growing DMC in Edinburgh to work as a Tour Operations & Client Relations Executive. Working in a varied role with suppliers and Tour Operators in the Spanish and South American markets, you will handle the booking and operation of group tours in Scotland. With a starting salary dependent on experience but up to £30500 pa plus benefits, this is a lovely opportunity for a passionate individual. JOB DESCRIPTION: To identify the most suitable products for the client. To ensure that the services are booked, timings are correct, and rates reflects the budget considered in the quotation. To make sure that suppliers' service confirmations match the rates offered and/or contracted. To negotiate and try to buy under budget where possible, to increase margins, without compromising on quality. To understand and negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, to match clients' needs. To build relationships with all suppliers and ensure that you have excellent knowledge of all key services we offer our clients. To prepare and double check rooming lists, technical itineraries and vouchers, keeping constantly the system up to date as well as suppliers. To send proforma amendments to clients on time and ensure that all payments are made within time guidelines and always prior to arrival for those clients without credit facilities. To liaise with accounts and make sure that term and conditions for payment are respected both by client and from our part towards suppliers, as per agreements/contracts. To investigate discrepancies on the invoices sent by our suppliers if they don't match the total calculated by our system, and query these with the suppliers. To ensure all group files and the operations system are continually updated and correct enabling others to cover for you if the need arises. To participate in any familiarization trips that need to take place to understand product and improve your knowledge. To hold periodically an emergency phone during the weekend from May to October, according to your department rota. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: You will have previous experience working for a destination management company or tour operator which deals with the UK & Scotland, and you will be fluent in English and also Spanish. If you speak Portuguese as well this is highly beneficial. You will be comfortable dealing B2B, with good relationship building and excellent organisation skills. THE PACKAGE: Starting salary is very much dependent on experience, but in the region of £26000 pa - £30,5000 pa. Additionally there are 22 days holidays (plus your birthday off) rising to 24.
